Masked Companion

This was the very first piece of writing which I had confidence in posting few years back. Don’t ask me what happened then, I got lost in the track of time and work. Here I am back to do what I always aspired to do. A dear friend of mine found this long lost piece of writing. Wanted to share it here. So here you go..

Coming to the title ,it may make you think... Masked companion ... What's it?

It's the shell which we have built around us.. It is the one which tears us apart from reality and makes us feel really insecure without its presence .. Yeah ,it is our flat 5-6 inch screen which we carry along with us everyday.

It is our BELOVED MOBILE PHONES!

Actually, if you guys have wondered this little screen is spending more time with us than anyone else,not even friends , family or even our beloved ones.It has become a ritual to check our mobile phones before even brushing our teeth!!!The funniest part is we wish good morning and happy day to all our contacts and loved ones far away , do we even take a moment to wish the ones who live with us??? The answer is no!

This is not just happening with teens and grown ups! THE KIDS too nowadays are so much into the mobile phone ! Trust me when I was a kid I watched Pogo and CN! I remember myself and my friends discussing about our cartoon watch list and favorite characters. But kids nowadays playing candy crush and temple run at the age of 5-6 . Wait that’s too old school now, its Pubg and play station now right?

Not this alone...we move around with our mobile phones and say we socialize with people and also say we stay in touch with our people no matter what the distance is.Having this in mind we really move apart from the ones near us .. Earlier get-together's and family functions were meant for people to meet up and talk .. But nowadays even there comes our beloved culprit to distract us!There only exists a formal conversation and then we start being busy with out own phones ending up failing to realize what's happening around us!!!

We have come to a helpless state that we share posts saying that ,

"Be happy that we are the last generation whose photos were not taken on phone "

And for this we get million likes! Do we realize where it's leading to!

This may sound like I'm dragging it and blowing it into an issue! But no! It's high time we understand! I won't say I'm an exception! Even I do all the things mentioned above ! I just realized when people started saying your'e too busy with your phone and not even bothering to talk with me sitting right in front of you! I'm sure many would have faced the same situation ...

Mobiles for us have become like the 6 th ELEMENT OF EARTH! It has become a SURVIVAL DRUG for humans which  slowly pushes us out of reality and just entertain us by creating a fantasy around us!

Well yeah I accept that a mobile and it's applications are necessary, but we need to have control over it's usage ! And shows the kids the world right in front of us instead of guiding them how to play a mobile game.

Whatever it is good or bad ,everything is only up to an extent ....

 Give it a thought my dear friends ! First let's socialize with the people right in front of us :):)
